Come and explore my little food blog – www.makefoodgofurther.com
The concept originated in 2013, just after my husband, youngest son and I had moved to Queensland – we were followed by cries of “Mum, how did you make that chicken schnitzel?” to “When are you moving back??” by our twin sons.
The site started off on the freebie pages, and in 2018 it evolved to its own domain.
I guess that these days, it’s mainly used as a quick go-to point for me to find my favourite recipes – of course as we have aged, our taste in food has evolved from what it was when we first married in 1990.
The site recipes were originally for feeding a tribe on a budget – back then my twins were couch surfing with mates, studying and I’m sure surviving on 2-minute noodles, cigarettes, and beer.
Now, they are grown up – and I’m more interested in cooking things that we like to eat. When you look through my pages on this site – know that I am not employed for my photography skills and that the proof in the quality and taste of the food is marked by what is, or isn’t, left on the plate/s at the end of the meal – after all, if I spent all my time taking photos, there wouldn’t be time for cooking 🙂
Enjoy – Bon appetite!
